Advent Prayer

Teach us, in this Advent season, to find beauty in simplicity, to find riches in plain living, to find self-worth in self-giving, that we may be truly prepared for the day of our Lord's coming, who came not as an almighty king but as a child born in a cowshed, and who gave his life as servant for our salvation. 

Week 1 Prayer

God of light, place a candle in our hearts, so we may have light to see the truth presented by your prophets, treading gently on the paths of peace and ever ready to welcome the signs of new life. Amen
