Move Memo Week 4 - Who's On the Bus?
Littleton Christian Church is actively seeking a new location for gatherings and church operations, and this is your weekly update about the move.
The important question we're answering today is...
WHO'S WORKING ON THIS?
Allow me to introduce the MOVE TEAM (aka, the "tactical team"). This team is responsible to investigate and evaluate every potential site for our church, both to determine viability and, when we commit to a new site, make sure the appropriate work is done so that a space can be usable, safe, functional, etc.
First, I'm pleased to tell you that the elders have elected Jeff Sahr to serve as the campaign manager for our fundraising campaign. Pray for Jeff! He has been giving incredible time and passion to this.
Second, you can imagine the fun conversations at the Sahr household, because Rebecca Sahr is the dilgent and passionate chair of our Move Team. Jeff and Rebecca have important business experience that has prepared them well for this task. The church is one of Rebecca's bookkeeping clients, so she knows our financial status inside and out. And they've been actively involved with two different churches through capital campaigns - we believe God has called them to serve for such a time as this!
Joining Rebecca on the Move Team are...
Chuck Swanson, longtime member, inactive elder, CPA, and very gifted with administration.
Truett Mickey, who is not only Shana's husband but also the owner of Bean Fosters coffee shops and brings a wealth of experience related to commercial real estate.
Amos Grubb, longtime member with a passion for the mission of the church and a professional backgound in insurance
Neal Heidt, who has a great vision for how a church can engage a local community. Neal is a landscape architect by training and a wonderfully creative thinker.
Amy Vogt, active elder with passion for the vision and process.
Finally, Pastor Stephen and I are happy to serve on the team.
Want in? If you have a passion for this, please reach out to Rebecca!
And of course, if you have any further questions about the move, don't hesitate to reach out to me.
