Move Memo Week 2 - Why Move?
“Move Memo” #2 - April 12, 2021
Welcome to Memo #2, your weekly update on LCC's search for our next gathering space.
Remember those 3 key ideas?
God is faithful, and knows exactly we need and what our community needs.
“Church” = PEOPLE (NOT building).
Buildings/Spaces are TOOLS that help churches function.
Why is God calling us out at this time? A word on The Life Center and Mission Hills Church
The Life Center has been host to LCC since November 2015. It is a ministry of Mission Hills. The Life Center is host to several fantastic ministries, including a food bank, free tax prep, Senior Connections, and Mission Hills En Espanol (a spanish-speaking satellite of Mission Hills Church). As these ministries expand, Mission Hills has determined an increased need for space and time in the building. We are incredibly grateful for the long warning they gave us and for the ongoing generosity they’re showing us as our process unfolds. Mission Hills continues to be a great blessing to LCC.
What are we working on currently?
First, we are prayerfully learning and laying out plans for the fundraising campaign, anticipating potential questions, learning about all the ways people can participate financially, and praying.
Second, we continue to keep a close eye on available spaces nearby. Whenever potential sites come to our attention, we learn everything we can about it to determine viability.
Third, we’re praying. A lot. If you want to join the church in praying, set an alarm on your phone and pray with us for a couple minutes every day at noon.
